3 Hacks To Make #momlife Easier

Thank you Medici for sponsoring this post. Medici connects doctors and patients in an easy to use app!

I am so grateful to have a husband that is super hands-on with our kids and our household! Cameron and I have a pretty good system of splitting the workload 50/50. While he engages in tickle fights with Cami and Hendrix, I wash and fold laundry. While I build peg towers with the kids, Cameron washes dishes. That being said, even in a home where both parents take an active role with the kids and the chores, there is just something about mamas that make us the ultimate “command center” for the goings on of the household. As I prepare both kids to get back into the swing of things for the new school year, I am relying on a few hacks I have learned that make #momlife so much easier.

1. When Keeping Everyone Healthy…

…technology can be your best friend (and no I am not talking about googling…please don’t do that!) I recently discovered an app called Medici which is virtually having your doctor right at your fingertips. From pediatrician to vet, Medici allows me to connect with all of our family’s doctors on one app.

In our family, injuries, sickness, and medical concerns don’t just happen between the hours of 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.  Medici allows me the convenience of texting or video or voice calling a doctor right away all over a secure platform. The doctor can then fill out ePrescriptions, refer me or my member to a specialist and give us lab results right over the app.

Medici allows this mama to get answers and care conveniently and affordably. With the cost of the consultation often times lower than a co-pay would be, Medici also does not require insurance at all.

2. When Getting Out Of The Door…

…prep the night before. This hack has been a huge time saver. Determined to not be “those people” that are late to everything on account of their kids (trust me, I get it), I have pretty much got the secret sauce to getting out of the house on time. Pick out the kids clothes and lay them out ahead of time. Pack diaper bags and snacks the night before. If you can do this, I guarantee it will make your life easier and get you places on time with your family.  If I have the clothes ready the night before, Cameron can help the kids get dressed while I am getting dressed. Something so simple has worked wonders for our family efficiency!

3. When Planning For The Weekend…

…routine is key. Both Cameron and I have the weekends off from our jobs which makes family time during the weekends that much sweeter. We try to make the most of it by keeping the kids active but sticking to their routine already established at their school. This makes things so much easier and the kids happier! For us this means working around a nap schedule and planning ahead for snack time. But it also means very few if any melt-downs (#winning)!

I certainly don’t have all the answers as a mom (of a little over 4 years), but I am certainly learning to streamline things and trust tools that make life a little easier for me and my family. Download the Medici app today to allow less time at the doctor’s office and more time doing life with the ones you love.
