One of my favorite things that I remember growing up about the fall was going back to school shopping with my parents. Getting new school clothes made me feel like I could take on anything that the school year had coming! Your new clothes set the tone for the rest of the school year and it was the opportunity to express yourself to all your new friends and remind the old ones. Camilla is beginning her last year in Pre-K this year and then it’s off to big school (which I can’t even wrap my mind around how I am going to just drop her off at somebody’s elementary school!). For now Cami is rockin’ the hallway of her preparatory academy Pre-K wing and she is doing it in style! Just because most days she has to wear a uniform to school, doesn’t mean she has to be boring! Cami’s uniform consists of a collared polo style shirt in either dark green, gold, or white. To give her a little flair (and sass which she already oozes on the daily,) we like to pair it with a little leopard print. Leopard print is the perfect “neutral” and can go with almost any solid color. I love that this leopard skirt had a matching jacket that will be perfect when cooler weather blows through.
Uniforms don’t mean a kid can’t express themselves. At school, Cami has several opportunities to run around and explore. Pairing cool kicks in complementary colors is another way that we like to uniquely style her uniform. Whether paired with a khaki scooter or pants, having colorful and durable shoes elevates her school wardrobe. Finished off with her favorite denim jacket, it’s another win for transitioning into the fall.
At the very beginning of the school year, the school already has picture day scheduled to be a month in. This year we are ahead of the game with two picture day out fits already in the queue. Camilla loves any and everything with tulle (better for twirling around in). We are styling her ruffle sleeved denim tutu dress with her tennis shoes so that she is ready to go for pictures AND the playground.
This will be the last year that Cami will take school pictures at her pre-school and also be able to take pictures with her little brother Hendrix. After a quick change she will be ready to go to take sibling pictures in this tulle dress and her new favorite iridescent hightops. The dress comes as a set with her denim jacket which is great to pair with other outfits!
Cami’s new school clothes make her feel like a million bucks and the best things about shopping on walmart.com is that I was able to get her stylin’ without breaking the bank! Another plus is that we didn’t have to step one foot inside of the store! Back to school shopping was super convenient and arrived on my door-step just in time! This year Cami rules Pre-K and I am so excited to see her confidence soar as she learns and grows this year!
