For as long as I can remember the 4th of July has always had a special place in my heart as far as holidays are concerned. There is just something about the whole country coming together and enjoying time with family and friends. That char-grill smell in the air, and the sound of splashes around the pool. Yes, my friends, Independence Day is upon us and I am sharing 3 tips for throwing the best 4th of July Celebration!

Keep It Simple

Whether you are having a fireworks watching party, or throwing a pool-side shindig, entertaining for the 4th doesn’t have to be super complicated. With the help of Walmart I am getting everything I need, from bouncy balls and bubbles for the kids to play with outside to all things red, white, and blue. This year’s menu will be a crowd-pleaser starting with STOUFFER’S® Macaroni and Cheese, sliders, and a summer salad. The best part about about it is my one-stop-shop to Walmart where I can get everything I need for my 4th of July party!

Think Beyond The Hot Dogs

Don’t get me wrong, there is something really all-American about eating a hot dog on the 4th of July! I love me a good hot dog! In this day and age with so many people on the latest and greatest food fads, it’s hard to keep up! This year I am prepping something for everyone to enjoy that can be paired with my favorite summer go-to side dish, Stouffer’s Macaroni & Cheese!

Creating a red, white, and blue salad is super easy and a great way to bring in a little patriotism to the party! Chopped romaine lettuce, fresh strawberries and blueberries, and crumbled feta cheese brings the “wow” and is a great summer salad to enjoy all season long! My husband loves to grill and to add a little heartiness, I added some grilled chicken and topped the salad with a light poppy seed dressing. This summer salad may be the colorful star, but pairing with Stouffer’s Macaroni & Cheese allows you to bring home creamy cheesy goodness at your 4th of July bash!

Spread Out The Love

The 4th of July is one of those holidays that is meant to be spent outdoors.  This may seem practically impossible for those of us that live in cities where summer weather climbs to 100 degrees and beyond! No matter your space, create a little spot outside where people can enjoy outdoor activities and fireworks watching. Set up your space with cool treats like popsicles, cold watermelon slices, and lots of water. Make sure there is an area where people can sit, eat, and chat.

Now through July 11th get $1.50 off of one Stouffer’s Family Size Macaroni & Cheese or $3.00 off on the Party size with Ibotta while supplies last! Happy birthday America and happy party planning my friends!
