The mornings are cool, the days are hot, and the air is full of pollen here in Houston. This means one thing. Spring is on the horizon! I typically dread the Spring because of allergies and yellow dusted vehicles, but I have to say, after wiping tiny runny noses 2 straight months, 3 days of being shut in due to icy roads, and nursing a sick husband back to life from the stomach flu, I am so over wither this year! There are so many times we mean well with our friends when we say “we should get together” but we never do. Not until we see them at a mutual friend’s bridal/baby shower only to remember what a good time we have together and then promise to hang out again soon. It’s no secret that the summer time is my LEAST favorite season. I fully admit that I hate Summer. A lot due to the heat alone but mostly because of the humidity/heat combo we have going on here in Houston. Though being pregnant is a blessing, being pregnant in the summer time is not ideal if you live where I do. Nonetheless, I have hit this summer heat head on at the peak of my pregnancy and have learned a few things along the way to stay cool.
