How to Make Breast Cancer Awareness Month Not Be Just Another October

Another October is upon us and for most of us that means thinking about how you are going to top last year’s Halloween costume, and finalizing plans and purchasing plane tickets to go back home for Thanksgiving. Somewhere in there it may run across your mind that it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month due to the media pretty much pinking-out EVERYTHING. While these symbols of solidarity for Breast Cancer Awareness are cute and nice, is it enough? What can we do to stay aware during breast Cancer AWARENESS month? I think the first step is to determine that this October is not going to just be another October where it’s about the color pink but it’s about taking action for your own individual health and planting seeds for the future in finding a cure.

National Coffee Day: Coffee Date with The Bertuzzi’s

Today is National Coffee and I know some of you are thinking that you don’t need a designated day to drink or celebrate coffee. So I decided that on this day, it would be a great idea for your guys to get to know me and Mr. Sideline Socialite a little better with a Q & A sesh over coffee! Grab your k-cup, your frappucino, and your pumpkin spice and let’s chat over coffee, shall we? Go on, I’ll wait…

NYC Travel Guide from a New York Enthusiast

I absolutely love New York City. I totally get that it’s not for everyone though. The way New Yorkers drive down narrow roads weaving in and out of lanes to the point where you just don’t look out the window, the waft of urine that hits you every 3 to 4 blocks or so, the people pushing past you as you speed down the cross walk. It ain’t everybody’s cup of tea, but it’s SO mine. If it weren’t for the lack of sweet tea in restaurants, the lack of ice in drinks at restaurants (weird), and the lack of Whataburger, I would move to NYC in a heartbeat. With recent business trips I have gotten to re-live the glory days and much more. Here are a few highlights and also some tips if you are planning a trip to New York from a New York enthusiast!

Shoes For The Stands with Shoetopia

Now that we are a few weeks in to football season, I would venture to guess that you are compiling a few “looks” for game days yourself. I think the main thing that can make or break a game, is not if your team wins or loses, but if your feet hurt while at the game! It only took one time for me to realize that shoes that hurt your feet wile standing up during a full game of football is not for me! Ain’t nobody got time for that! However, this does not mean you have to sacrifice style for comfort.

How To Make 1 Wreath for Every Season and Holiday

I thought it would be an awesome idea to have 1 wreath and just change that one for every holiday, and so, my 1 Wreath for Every Season and Holiday was born! By creating velcro panels you can just attach and detach the panel however, whenever you want! This weekend I had my patriotic panel up in remembrance of September 11th. This morning I slapped the Texans panel on because football season has begun. When I feel that first gust of fall breeze, down goes the Texans and up goes my “harvest” panel!
