There are so many times we mean well with our friends when we say “we should get together” but we never do. Not until we see them at a mutual friend’s bridal/baby shower only to remember what a good time we have together and then promise to hang out again soon. This summer I am being intentional in devoting a lot of QT with my besties while I can. If you are looking for some fun things to do with your girlfriends, check out my list of 6 things to do with Your Girlfriends This Summer!
It’s no secret that the summer time is my LEAST favorite season. I fully admit that I hate Summer. A lot due to the heat alone but mostly because of the humidity/heat combo we have going on here in Houston. Though being pregnant is a blessing, being pregnant in the summer time is not ideal if you live where I do. Nonetheless, I have hit this summer heat head on at the peak of my pregnancy and have learned a few things along the way to stay cool.
I must admit, I am not a true blue baseball fan. There, I said it! Maybe in the days of yore it was America’s favorite past time, but I am pretty sure America’s favorite past time now is Netflix and chilling! To honor the fact that my city is representing well, and to acknowledge that I may be in the minority when it comes to the love of the game, I wanted to share this Easy DIY Baseball Wreath with you so that you too can show your pride right on your front door.
It was important to Cameron and I to do something fun with Cami this summer because it was going to be our last real opportunity for it to be our little family of three. This weekend and throughout the 4th of July week we are headed to South Padre Island and I am thrilled to be spending time with the family on the beach. I am preparing for our 6 hour drive with these 7 super easy toddler-friendly DIY road trip activities to keep Cami’s hands and mind busy.
This year was Cameron’s big 3-0 and I surprised him with a trip to Italy. Most birthday surprises are meant to be awesome, like a vacay to Italy…One surprise that was not awesome for him was what seemed like the morning he turned 30, his back started hurting. With old man river tossing and turning on my left, and my growing baby causing me some serious lower back discomfort, we knew it was time to look for a new mattress.
