Now that the school supplies are out and back to school shopping has commenced, summer is basically over no matter what the calendar might say. I thought that being in my 3rd trimester in August would be the death of me, but you know what, I am doing OK! In an effort to have one last hoorah with my daughter before we welcome her brother this fall we planned a family trip to South Padre Island, TX. Our first big road trip (6 hours) as a family and we lived to tell the tale! I wanted to round up a few summer style looks that I wore on our trip because 1. Each look is under $30 and 2. If you live in the Southwest, then you might be in for warmer weather up until November!
This dress was everything on the beach and oozes summer style and ease! One thing I love to do during summer is amp it up with bight colors. The floral embroidery on this easy breezy maxi gave me just that. I also love that it comes with a slip dress under it as a lining so that I was comfortable wearing it, bump and all.
Who doesn’t love a good bright color block? Another maxi that has a bonus of pockets was super comfortable to stroll along the boardwalk. I paired this summer style bright dress with tassel earrings I snagged at a local boutique called Lulla Blue.
This little white dress was irresistible with the appliqué roses. I am definitely going to transition this dress into my fall wardrobe by adding leggings and boots with it when it gets a little cooler. The slip dress that came with my first look, I wore underneath this dress, otherwise it would have been pretty see-through (which would be fine if you have a bathing suit under.)
Although we will soon be trading sandals for boots and two-pieces for cowl necks, one thing is for sure for me at least, this is a summer I will never forget! I’m sending this summer off with all my love.
