I have been gearing up for the end of summer since…well…the beginning of summer! As gears switch to back to school mode, we are going to make these last days of summer count! Check out this list of 10 things to do as a family during the last days of summer, to go out with a BANG this season.
This is a #sponsored post all thoughts and opinions are my own.
The first end of summer activity was a water day. We have a pool and the kids have spent many summer days poolside. This water day was intentional though. All of us as a family spent time splashing around together, playing “Marco Polo,” and playing water ballon tag. Even our dogs got in on the action with this fantastic doggie float I found on Walmart!
I don’t know why but every float that I deem as my designated “mommy float” for the season gets taken over by the end of the summer by my kids. In an effort to reclaim my pool throne I went on walmart.com and found not only the perfect lounger float with a canopy, but items that needed to be refreshed to close out the summer (like goggles and towels).
Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make family time the best. We were all entertained by Sadie and Pepper Potts on the dog float! We could have all been in the pool for hours enjoying our dogs being close to use as we played in the pool.
Our family water day was complete with equal parts lounging and cannon ball judging. We also came up with new games to play like pool water ballon tag, and an H2O edition catch and toss game. We also played with bubbles (which our dogs equally loved)!
