Spring Awakening + Exciting New Ventures

The mornings are cool, the days are hot, and the air is full of pollen here in Houston.  This means one thing.  Spring is on the horizon!  I typically dread the Spring because of allergies and yellow dusted vehicles, but I have to say, after wiping tiny runny noses 2 straight months, 3 days of being shut in due to icy roads, and nursing a sick husband back to life from the stomach flu, I am so over wither this year!  As I have been huddled in at home for various reasons I have been working on a few projects that I am completely stoked to share this Spring, beginning with the launch of the Sideline Socialite T-Shirt Shop!

Girl Meets Grill

This time of year is the perfect time to be outside. We are right in that sweet spot where it’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. It’s not quite time to come to terms with having to don a swimsuit but just the right time to join your friends at a local festival. With being in the thick of March Madness this time of year also means gatherings around the grill. Here’s what happened when this girl met the grill.

St. Patrick’s Day Look with Draper James

I can not mention the month of March without giving a nod to St. Patrick’s Day. Although I am not sure about the background of this holiday I do know that wearing green is a must, green beer is a “thing”, and some how leprechauns come into play. I don’t participate in the latter two, but I am always sure to wear green on March 17th to ward off pinchers. This year I teamed up with Reese Witherspoon’s brand Draper James to fashion a look perfect for Spring and St. Patrick’s Day.

Spring Awakening Dress + $50 Gift Card Give Away

Although Spring is one of my least favorite seasons (due to pollen, allergies, and rain), it is one of my favorites when it comes to fashion. I live for Spring colors and prints after a winter with dark colors and heavy fabrics. We Texas folk are fully embracing Spring 6 weeks early no matter what Puxatony Phil has to say about it. For my Spring debut I wanted something bright and floral that was easy and breezy.
