Game Day Super Bowl Recipe: Chicken Nugget + Waffle Cupcakes

Now that the holidays are over we can all go back to the next big thing on the calendar for 2017 and that is the Super Bowl. Whether you are a football fan or not (and let’s face it, you probably aren’t) there is just something about “The Big Game” that gets everyone amped up. Part of my Super Bowl watch party spread will be these chicken nugget and waffle cupcakes that are a fun take on chicken and waffles. My daughter LOVES these and they are perfect for a Super Bowl watch party, tailgate, or brunch!

Holiday Recipe: Egg Nog Pancakes + Egg Nog Syrup

When everyone is running to the grocery store for pumpkin spiced flavors, I am running to the Walmart refrigerator aisle for egg nog. Cameron and I both love egg nog. I drink it straight with a little cinnamon on top and he enjoys it in his coffee. In celebration of seeing one of our favorite holiday drinks back on the shelves I wanted to come up with a recipe that would be an ode to my beloved egg nog. Naturally I went in the direction of breakfast (my favorite type of food) with my Egg Nog Pancakes and Egg Nog Syrup recipes.

I have to admit, I am a sucker for sweets! Not only is eating (and drinking) them my weakness, but I also love making them. Sometimes when I am planning game day food I have to remind myself to have a menu that includes savory snacks too! Last year for a Super Bowl watch party at my friend’s house I was in charge of bringing the sweets (obviously). Among the three options the game day recipe that I am sharing with you today was the crowd favorite. These Football Whoopie Pies are sure to be a “fan favorite” with for your next watch party too, trust me!
