I blinked and Mother’s Day is here, again! I don’t know what’s been in the air lately but it seems like several women in my circles have enlisted in the mommy tribe and I am thrilled to take on all the shower throwing, craving runs, and decoration making that is ahead for me as the friend/aunt of these mom’s to be. When talking to a friend about becoming a new mom I inadvertently gave her some advice that seemed pretty legit to give a first time mom. With Mother’s Day around the bend I am offering 5 tips from a semi-new mom (that’s me), to a brand new mom or mom to be.
I love a good makeover story. I mean seriously, who does’t? My husband and I have lived in our home a little over 3 years and it’s always been a work in progress as far as getting each room just the way we want it to be and feel. I am so happy to share that our living room, the heart and soul of our home, is finally a space that we love. In doing a little research I found that there were so many ways to have what you want when it comes to decorating without breaking the bank! I am so excited to share with you how you can have a fabulous living space without going broke.
Now that my baby is a little older, I am ready to get my travel on again! Right now I am focused on “weekenders”. These are trips you can go on and for 2 or 3 days and then come back ready to take on the real world again. I have compiled my list of 2018 quick getaway trips that I am set to go on this year or am looking into that won’t break the bank, but will feed the need for a much needed getaway or two.
When I started thinking about this post it was my intension to post a cocktail that was light, cool, and refreshing, and perfect for those warm spring days. And, it is that however, I have no idea where my warm spring days went as I sit here in my jacket in the 50 degree weather! Nevertheless I want to share this cocktail recipe for a Strawberry Hard Apple Cider Cooler that is spring time in a glass!
