Big Game Cocktail: Blue 42 Moscow Mule

Game Day Cocktail Blue 42 Moscow Mule

Have you started planning for your BIG Game party yet?  Every year I try to step up my game a little higher when it comes to what I bring to my friend’s annual party.  Last year I was in charge of bringing the desserts.  My friend’s husband had the nerve to go to the cookie store and get a dozen cookies just in case what I brought wasn’t up to his standards!  Needless to say, no one was eating the boxed cookies!  This year I am focusing on the beverages.  I love a good themed party and a big game party is no exception.  Being a true blue Houston lover, (we Houstonians are over the moon that the game is in our home town)  and my new found love for Moscow Mules, I wanted to create a cocktail right on theme a refreshingly delicious.

Initially attracted to the Moscow Mule because I totally dig the look of copper mugs, I finally tried one and found them to be delicious. In order to give the Moscow mule a Texas twist, I added the sweet taste of H-E-B‘s Primo Pick organic blue berries that I dusted with a little sugar and let me tell you…Touch Down!  There are 3 things that this Houston girl takes pride in 1. NASA 2. Beyoncé, 3. H-E-B! If there’s not one right around the corner, I am not living there!

Once I tasted what I am lovingly calling my Blue 42 Moscow Mule, I knew it was a must to include it as a cocktail choice for guests to sip during the Big Game. Big and bold like the state of Texas, yet sweet and refreshing like the southern bell that I am, haha!
