So, Jason Collins is gay? I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to the day that someone being gay is not “news”. As I was scanning twitter this weekend I saw that “America’s First Openly Gay NBA Athlete” signed on with the Brooklyn Nets this week. So…how long is he going to have to wear the title “America’s First Openly Gay NBA Athlete”? When can he just be “Jason Collins Of The Brooklyn Nets”. And what does being the first openly gay anything have to do with his ability to make free-throws, and do lay-ups?!
