The month of March is one of my favorite months for a few reasons. March 9th is my birthday and a week later is my husband’s birthday so basically the whole first part of the month is cake and ice cream! Then there is Spring Break, which was more awesome when I was a teenager. In Houston March is the month where we host the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. During this time the whole city shuts down for 2 weeks to eat all things fried, smothered, and battered and to ride carnival rides, watch some bull ridin’, and to attend concerts from A-list artists . I can not mention the month of March without giving a nod to St. Patrick’s Day. Although I am not sure about the background of this holiday I do know that wearing green is a must, green beer is a “thing”, and some how leprechauns come into play. I don’t participate in the latter two, but I am always sure to wear green on March 17th to ward off pinchers. This year I teamed up with Reese Witherspoon’s brand Draper James to fashion a look perfect for Spring and St. Patrick’s Day.
The weather in Houston has been so up and down so a jacket this time of year is a must. This jogger jacket is the perfect shade of green for my St. Patrick’s Day look. The floral print is so divinely feminine, I just love this jacket for the season.
I paired my jacket with the “Tell me somethin’ good” tee because I just loved the sentiment of the saying (and the song)! Draper James has such a cute selection of tees and sweatshirts with charmingly southern sayings that it may be hard to not purchase a few!
Speaking of southern, my mom is of the school of thought that you can not wear white until Easter. If that’s the case, I am breaking the rules and I don’t feel bad about it! If wearing white jeans in the month of March is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
Thank you Draper James for sponsoring this post! As my readers know, all thoughts are completely my own…seriously ya’ll, go check them out!
