The NBA playoffs are heating up! We are in the first round and already there have been heart-breaks, surprise finishes, and fines issued for squabbles with fans. My husband and I had the pleasure of being invited to sit court side for game two of the Rockets vs. Thunder series and boy was it a nail biter! Even if basketball is not really your thing, there is something about sitting up close in personal. When you are looking at the players of your home team eyeball to eyeball, you can’t help but to catch the “fever”, throw on the 3 sizes too big spirit shirt, and become the captive audience you never thought you could be. Not to mention, the players are so big in person! The NBA playoffs have been quite the emotional roller coaster in our house that you almost can’t get through a game without needing something for your nerves! Although I have to remain on the sidelines in the department of alcohol (4-months preggo, whoop!) A girl can dream, can’t she? For today’s NBA playoffs inspired cocktail I wanted to offer up something that included a few of my favorite cocktail elements, rum + pineapple= slam dunk in the Sideline Socialite playbook(see what I did there…I know some sports terminology!) Check out this super easy recipe, and my nod to the Rockets “the tropical blastoff”!
Yields 1 cocktail
Save RecipeIngredients
- 2 oz. Coconut Rum
- 1 oz. Blue Curaçao
- 1 oz. Light Rum
- Pineapple Juice
Instructions
- In a glass pour each ingredient individually starting with coconut rum, then curaçao, then light rum. Finish by topping off with pineapple juice and top with ice.
