3 Gift Ideas Perfect For The Difficult To Shop For

Only two weeks left until Christmas, holy smokes!  Is it just me or does it feel as though the end of the year zoomed by?! As I prepare for Christmas and gift giving season, I am trying to savor all the moments.  This year is the first year my daughter Cami (2 1/2) is really starting to understand what’s going on so we are trying to establish traditions  this year.  We got our tree together at the Christmas tree farm, we decorated sugar cookies, we had a snowball fight, and we looked at lights.  In the midst of checking off all the Christmas traditions with her, I have managed to get most of my shopping checked off of the list.  All that’s left are those few people I get hung up on every year that are difficult to shop for.  You know the type: the friend that literally has everything, the boss that gave you the Christmas bonus, the brother-in-law that is low key your favorite person in the whole family.  In my quest to check these last few people off my list, I am rounding up 3 ideas perfect for the difficult to shop for people in your life.  Great for a variety of budgets but the best part is the Tile I am giving away at the end of this post!  Enter to win today and get it before Christmas if you win!

3 Gift Ideas Perfect For The Difficult To Shop For

1. Tile

Tile is the world’s best Bluetooth tracker that you can hook, stick, or slide onto anything you don’t want to lose.  Sync it with your smart phone and know where your items (kids’s stuffed animal, keys, passport, suitcases, etc.) are at all times!  Before the Tile we were always asking “where’s the ___________.”  The past couple of months my toddler has had this horrible habit of throwing important things away.  She likes to step on the pedal of our trash can and watch whatever the item is clunk down in the bucket.  Seriously, ya’ll, we lost a whole iPad this way…I don’t even want to talk about it.  Needless to say when we noticed things disappearing we knew we needed to take some action.  Situations like these make the Tile a perfect gift for the forgetful person in your life and/or the parent of a young child on your list.  I already have a few wrapped and ready to go to a couple of my mom and dad friends and one headed to my forgetful boss who is always patting his jacket wondering where his keys are! At $35, the Tile is an affordable gift with great deals on multipacks throughout the holiday season.  Every multipack comes with free gift pouches — no gift wrapping required.

2. Google Home

A while back Google sent me a Google Home to try.  I didn’t think much of it but we set it up in our room and decided to give it a try.  On the first night Cameron and I laid in bed asking Google a bunch of silly questions like “how do you say goodnight in Chinese” and “how old is George Clooney”.  We laughed all night about some of the answers!  Little did I know, Cameron would fall in love with Google home and now, that’s his best girl!  He’s figured out how to have google turn on our ceiling fan, our Christmas tree, call us an Uber, and turn on our air conditioning.  Google is currently playing Christmas music at my command as I sit here and type!  Google Home is the perfect gift for the techie on your list (perfect for your brother-in-law) and with super easy set up anyone can hook it up (you don’t have to be a tech genius).  This is a great gift idea for any kind of budget. Google Home standard size is $79 but if you are looking for something for less then Google Home Mini is $29 and is virtually the same thing as the Google Home except smaller.  Cam and I have both in different rooms of the house and they both operate the same way.

3. Fossil Q Venture Smartwatch

I don’t own one of these babies yet, but I have to say they are pretty gorgeous!  In both men’s and women’s styles these smartwatches work with both Android and iOS.  Don’t get me wrong, I love my apple watch but there is something about this Fossil Q Venture that is totally different.  Coming in a variety of color combinations this watch is under $300.  This might be the perfect gift for a hard to shop for husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend when you ask them what they want for Christmas and they tell you “I don’t know”, or better yet “whatever you want me to have” (insert eye roll).  Been there, don’t that.

  1. Yes, finding the perfect present for your mom can be tricky but in our experience, buying a good gift for dad (or any father-like figure, for that matter) is notoriously difficult. That's in part because he always claims that he already has everything and wants nothing. But also because there really isn't any gift in the world that's worthy of all he's done for you, from attending each and every one of your little league games, to giving sage advice on relationships, and so much more.
